Plus signs (+) indicate significant attenuation of hyperalgesia. Minus signs (-) indicate a lack of effect on hyperalgesia. Note that intra-Vi/Vc injection of the three agents attenuated bilateral hyperalgesia associated with masseter inflammation without an effect on cutaneous hyperalgesia. Intra-Vc injection of the three agents only attenuated ipsilateral hyperalgesia after both masseter and cutaneous inflammation.
