Numbness, fullness, and soreness were found greater for acupuncture at ST36. B. The intensity of the reported sensations measured by an average score (with standard error bars) on a scale from 0 denoting no sensation to 10 denoting an unbearable sensation. The average stimulus intensities (mean ± SE) were approximately similar during acupuncture at ST36 (2.4 ± 1.7) and nonacupoint (2.2 ± 1.9).
